I'm one of Bangkok's most experienced expatriate Psychologists (which isn't difficult because there aren't too many of us! ;) ). I've been practicing psychotherapy for 25 years. I encourage you to look at at several therapists since how well you connect with your therapist is one of the best predictors of whether you'll benefit from therapy so it's important to find someone you connect with (and if at first you don't succeed then try and try again). Please check out my wonderful colleagues at PSI and also check out New Counseling Services and Catherine Barbier (link in French-Catherine provides services in French and English).
I see clients in person at my office in central Bangkok and also online. I accept clients from around Thailand and the entire Asia-Pacific region (I do not accept clients currently residing in North America). I use a empirically-based, integrative approach to psychotherapy that can be called experiential behavioral therapy which fosters the three pillars of effective therapy including the integration of practical mindfulness and self-compassion skills in ways that fit with and empower each client.
My next Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course will begin on 2 Oct (Sunday evenings). The course is interactive, experiential and dynamic, not boring lecture. You will learn about yourself and connect with others!
I always welcome your questions.
