Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is the capacity to be a strong and supportive ally to yourself as you live your life- the ability to sooth yourself when you need soothing, to motivate yourself when you need motivation, to provide for your own emotional needs, and to protect yourself when you need protecting!
Mindful Self-Compassion is the superpower you didn't know you already have!
How is that? Because the MSC training program builds resources that all human beings already have, even if we did not work to develop these resources in the past and even if we feel that we don't have that resource. Self compassion is a courageous, empowered stance that stands up to stress and difficulty, to support as we live deeply and fully. It builds our resilience and helps us to reduce our unnecessary suffering, including the ways that we unwittingly hurt on ourselves through self-criticism, self-isolation, or self-absorption.

The MSC training program is a cutting-edge, applied mindfulness course that combines neuroscience, positive psychology and ancient wisdom to help you discover and tap into powerful human strengths. The program is very practical and includes many skills you can apply in your daily life. The 9-session MSC program is based on the groundbreaking research and clinical work of Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer.
In my own life, I have practiced mindfulness meditation and applied mindfulness since 2004. I am a Certified Teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion. I was the first certified MSC teacher in Thailand! For a while, I was the only certified teacher and I'm glad to share that there are more now...

MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION TRAINING PROGRAM ONLINE

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 8-session, training program designed to cultivate the skills of self-compassion. Based on the groundbreaking research and clinical work of Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding. The program integrates cutting-edge understanding of human growth and thriving based on neuroscience, positive psychology, physiology and human development. At the same time, the MSC course teaches simple, concrete and practical skills that participants can use to support and guide themselves in their everyday lives.
No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is required to attend MSC.
To insure safety, participants are asked to provide background information when they register for the program.
It is recommended that participants read one or both of following books before or during the program:

MINDFUL SELF‐COMPASSION CORE SKILLS TRAINING
5 & 6 August 2021
9.30 am - 5.30 pm (all times are Singapore local)
This 2-day, online workshop will introduce the MSC model and teach numerous skills. The workshop will give you simple, practical skills that you can use in everyday life for a range of common issues. This will be a fast-paced interactive work-shop that reproduces many of the features of an in-person workshop.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is for social-service and human-services professionals who work as caregivers or those who work in social-service or human-service organizations with high levels of stress and demand. Professionals who occupy roles as caregivers will especially benefit from the training. No background with mindfulness or meditation is necessary to attend and benefit from the workshop.
Participants who meet 80% class attendance will be awarded a Certificate of Accomplishment by the Academy of Human Development.
